An Giang Biotechnology Center (ABC) is established in 2012 and located in Vĩnh Bình, Châu Thành, An Giang with a total area of 37 ha, under the management of Department of Science and Technology An Giang.

ABC is responsible for technical transfer, research, application and experimental production in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery (plant varieties, livestock and aquaculture breeding), post-harvest technology, food processing and quality improvement, herbal medicinal materials, environmental protection and sustainable development; with high-tech agricultural products at high priority.

Specifically, ABC is in charge of:

- Collecting and preserving genetic sources for serving research, variety pure line selection, restoration and multiplication. Providing information, protecting technical data and ensuring biosafety under the provisions of law.

- Cooperating/contracting with individuals and organizations (institutes, universities, scientific companies and associations domestic and abroad) in implementing projects of high-tech transfer, research, application and experimental production. Commercializing biotech and high-tech agricultural products.

Besides, ABC is also assigned to:

- Incubate technical enterprises in the field of biotechnology and high-tech agriculture.

- Invite investment in biotechnology and high-tech agriculture to An Giang province.

- Organise training courses on biotechnology and high-tech agriculture by request.

- Provide advising and testing services in the field of biotechnology and high-tech agriculture.
